FOURTH ANNUAL VETERANS PARADE & COMMUNITY FAIR
On November 6th, a parade will be held to support the Filipino-American
World War veterans. The United States promised to provide the veterans
with the bnefits that they needed, and now, years later, haven't kept
to their word. An independent film called "Broken Promises" shows what
the veterans have been going through due to this act by the U.S. Over
the years, Filipino veterans have died without receiving the never
given benefits. And the many who live in retirement homes today are
still waiting for the benefits that they deserved after fighting for
this country.
So help support the Filipino veterans on November 6th by participating in this parade dedicated to help these unsung heroes.
The schedule will be as follows:
9:30 am - Memorial Mass at St. Columan Church, 125 Loma Drive, Los Angeles
10:30 am - Parade Formation at St. Columban / Parade Begins
11:30 am - 3:30 pm - Community Fair on Carondelet St. (between Temple and
Beverly)
